Most times, Kim Kardashian won’t leave the house without her face on, much less share a very public Instagram photo without being done up! That changed on Thurdsay, though, when the reality star proudly shared a fresh-faced selfie on her social media page.
In the pic, the 33-year-old congratulates her 18-year-old sister, Kendall Jenner, for landing the cover of Love Magazine. For the shot, she holds up the model’s cover and pouts while gazing sideways at the camera.
Kim may be proud of her little sis for landing the cover, but once she reads the interview inside, she may not be as thrilled. In her Q&A, Kendall admitted that her family’s name held her back at times, a similar comment to Adrienne Bailon‘s in Latina Magazine, which Kim publicly made clear she wasn’t happy about.
“People think that [success] just came to me, but it didn’t,” Kendall told the mag. “What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show. I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name.”
Adrienne expressed similar sentiments about being attached to the ‘Kardashian’ name, from when she dated Rob years ago. “To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and my career,” she admitted. “I probably realized that too late — not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show.”
To that, Kim tweeted, “Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian.”
Double standard, much?
