Girl’s got pipes! Although Miley Cyrus’ summer hit “We Can’t Stop” is more of a dance and party tune than one that showcases her vocals, the 20-year-old proved her singing ability by stripping the song down to an a cappella version while appearing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
She was joined by Jimmy Fallon and the Roots for the performance, which took place on Tuesday, the same day her highly-anticipated album Bangerz was released.
Miley’s been performing the party anthem since the beginning of summer, and while she’s normally accompanied by crazy props, background dancers and raunchy dance moves, this time was much different. Instead, Miley, Jimmy and his band members appeared in head shots in colored squares — think The Brady Bunch — and there were no gimmicks. Just the music. Check it out:
