Regardless of what’s going on in their relationship now, Liam Hemsworth was, at one point, a major inspiration to his ex-fiance Miley Cyrus. The “Wrecking Ball” singer saved a special place for him in the dedication section of her Bangerz album, mentioning him last in her long list of “thank yous.”
“I couldn’t have made this album without one person…FE,” she wrote. “Thank you for inspiring me. (PS I LOVE YOU).” Over the summer, Miley “accidentally” butt-tweeted a screen-shotted conversation between her and Liam (she quickly deleted it), and his name displayed on her phone was FeFe.
Although the 20-year-old left the heartfelt message for her former beau in the album liner, there’s no indication of when it was written. Most recently, the exes were together at the premiere of Paranoia in August, but in September, their reps confirmed the engagement was off. Plus, Miley alluded to the fact that the relationship has actually been rocky since February.
Whether things have been good or bad between these two, though, it’s not shocking that Liam was a song-writing inspiration. The album will be released on Oct. 8.
