Baby On Board

Pregnant Carrie Underwood Confesses Her Son Isn’t Ready To Be A Big Brother!

The country star shows off her baby bump on ‘Fallon.’

Carrie Underwood might be excited to have a baby, but she’s less sure her son, 3-year-old Isaiah, is really prepared. The pregnant country star sat down for an interview with Jimmy Fallon and revealed the sweet things her son does to practice his new life as a big brother. Watch the clip above!

“We’re excited to add to the family,” she told Jimmy, who has two kids of his own. The dad asked if Isaiah knows that a baby’s on the way.

“I don’t think for real he does,” the “Before He Cheats” singer admitted. “He’ll be really sweet and talk to my belly and kiss my belly. He’s the sweetest little boy.”

“I mean, no kid can really know that their life is going to change. He’ll just have to share mommy.”

Carrie and husband Mike Fisher tried to include their son in planning, but the results haven’t been so great. They asked him if he had a suggestion for the baby’s name.

“He did say, ‘Isaiah Michael Fisher,’ which is, of course, his name and would be confusing,” the “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer explained. “He wants to name everything his name because he thinks that’s special.”

During the interview, Carrie also confessed that she watches her son for signs that he might be musically talented too. “I try, is that wrong? I’m like judging my 3-and-a-half-year-old child to see if he can sing,” she said with a laugh. “If he is not musically inclined, that is fine. I’m excited to find out what he loves and is passionate about and is good at, and I will support that. But I really want him to sing.” If not, maybe he’ll play hockey like his dad.

It’s good that Carrie’s year is looking up after her terrible 2017, where she suffered a random fall that she worried would leave her face disfigured. But she looks the same.

The country singer also performed her new single, “Love Wins” on The Tonight Show. Click here to watch the full interview.
