Sister Wives’ Robyn Brown Appears Irked When Kody Informs Her That a New Woman Wants to Join ‘the Family’

Sister Wives star Kody Brown has previously said he would not consider getting involved in another plural marriage after splitting from exes Janelle, Christine and Meri Brown — but that hasn’t stopped interested women from reaching out!

“I got another one of those emails from some woman asking, sort of, like, to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family,” Brown, 55, tells wife Robyn in a new trailer for the TLC series’ 20th season, which dropped on Thursday, August 21.

However, a quick shot of Robyn’s face seemed like she wasn’t pleased with the idea.

Robyn, 46, has been open about potentially entering into another plural marriage with Kody in the past, but she’s made it clear that it has to be under very strict conditions.

“If I had a guarantee that it would be something that would be beneficial and we would have a positive successful experience, I would be interested in living plural marriage again,” Robyn said during the show’s December 29, 2024, episode. “But I would need some sort of guarantee just because this experience of the family falling apart has been so traumatic, and not just for me and not just for Kody, but for our children and for all the children.”

The dynamic within the Brown family has changed dramatically over the last few seasons, with Christine, 53, Janelle, 56, and Meri, 54, leaving Kody. However, the teaser for the upcoming season shows fans that there’s plenty of drama left to go around.

A synopsis for Sister Wives season 20 reads, “In the wake of multiple separations, the family faces major turning points. Meri dips her toe into dating with an awkward but promising speed dating event, while Janelle takes steps toward a spiritual divorce after a freeing trip to New Orleans. Christine and David are settling into married life, but Christine is shaken when her kids begin moving to North Carolina near Janelle, sparking jealousy and hurt.”

Sister Wives returns to TLC on September 28.
