Kody Brown, his current wife, Robyn, and his ex-wives Meri and Janelle have revealed whether they would ever enter a polygamous marriage again.

On Sunday, June 15, the hit TLC series Sister Wives concluded its season 19 tell-all with host Sukanya Krishnan asking all four to share their views on polygamy today. (Kody’s other ex-wife, Christine, 53, became a monogamist when she wed David Woolley in October 2023.)

Kody, 56, made it clear he would not want another woman to enter into his marriage with Robyn, whom he legally wed in 2014.

“No, hell no, and I’ll tell you why: because we already failed,” he stated. “I would never try plural marriage again cause, at this point, it’s off the table because it was taken off the table.”

Robyn, 46, for her part, said polygamy was very circumstantial for her.

“It’s a tough one right now for me. If I had some guarantee and Kody was up for it, yeah, but I have no guarantee, and Kody’s not up for it, and I am scared to death of it now,” she admitted.

As for Kody’s first wife, Meri, she made it clear that she would only be in monogamous relationships moving forward.

“At this point in my life, no. I’m not gonna live polygamy again,” she remarked.

However, Meri, 54, explained that she doesn’t think polygamy is always bad.

“I think it can work,” she shared. “I think it’s very important for all parties involved to be committed to it, and when all parties are not, as you see in our family, it doesn’t work.”

Unlike her former sister wives, Janelle, is open to polygamy again — if it finds her.

“I would. I’m not going to say no, but I just don’t foresee that I’m going to meet very many people who live plural marriage these days. I live in the south now,” she remarked.

Janelle, 56, who moved to North Carolina in 2024, also told Krishnan, 53, she would “maybe” have a monogamous relationship — but wants to date the old-fashioned way.

“I’m definitely not going to be dating on those weird apps that you swipe,” she added.

Meri wed Kody in 1990. They divorced him in 2014 so he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her three elder children from a previous relationship. Kody and Meri remained in a spiritual marriage until 2023.

Janelle spiritually wed Kody in 1993, but left him in 2022. Christine ended her spiritual marriage to Kody in 2021 after nearly 28 years.
