Rob Kardashian Makes Rare Appearance in Instagram Photo Shared by Sister Kim

If you’ve been one of the many keeping up with the Kardashians for the last few years, you probably can’t help but notice that there is one member of the famous family that has been notoriously missing.

On Wednesday, June 25, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share two photos in honor of La La Anthony’s 43rd birthday — and sitting next to the women was none other than Rob Kardashian, who has opted to stay out of the public eye.

In the photos, the trio smiled for the camera. “Happy Birthday to my ace @lala,” Kim captioned the selfies. “Truly the bestest best friend a girl could ask for! I love you so much!!!! Today’s your day!”

It’s unclear whether or not the photos were taken recently or were a throwback — however, fans were focused on Rob’s happy and healthy appearance.

“Rob is starting to look like his early 2000 self again,” wrote one user, while another commented the dad of one — who shares daughter Dream, 8, with ex Blac Chyna — was “still handsome.”

“Everyone just hyped Rob is in the photo,” a third Instagram user wrote.

In the photo, Rob, 38, wore a backwards hat and University of Oregon merch. The school took notice of his outfit, and chimed in in the comment section.

“I see you, Rob! #GoDucks💚💛,” commented the Big Ten school.

Rob was featured on the original iteration of the family’s E! reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, from 2007 to 2021. However, he hasn’t been seen on their newest show, The Kardashians, on Hulu, and is frequently missing from photos taken at family events.

In a 2024 interview with Bustle, Khloe Kardashian shared some insight into her relationship with Rob, and his reasons for keeping a more private life.

“That’s just my baby. I love all my siblings, but I think with Rob, I identify with him so much,” she told the outlet. “I feel so deeply what he feels — the struggles that he has, or just wanting to be out of the public eye, or just feeling like he doesn’t fit in or is being judged about his appearance.”

“I feel like we were raised in pairs: It was Kourtney and Kim, and then it was me and Rob, and then Kendall and Kylie. And I just feel like we are both each other’s protectors,” she added. “I love him so much. It’s just innate.”
