Princess Kate is sharing insight into her hairstyle that recently made headlines.
On Wednesday, November 19, the Princess of Wales, 43, spoke backstage at the Royal Variety Performance in London with actress Su Pollard about her hair color switch-up, according to The Daily Mail.
“I like your hair, it looks a lot lighter,” Pollard, 76, remarked.
In response, the future queen of England explained: “It used to be brown, but it’s gone light in the sunshine.”

For the event, Kate — who was joined by her husband Prince William — left her long, light brown hair down, opting for loose waves. As for her outfit, Kate donned a velvet gown with a pair of large drop earrings while the Prince of Wales, 43, sported a tuxedo.
The mom of three — who shares children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 6, with William — has seemingly been on a hair journey over the last few months.

As Star previously reported, Kate was first spotted with lighter hair while visiting Scotland in August. Then, during a September 4 visit to the Natural History Museum in London, Kate debuted blonde hair.
However, the color was short-lived as only a few days later, on September 6, Kate’s locks were back to brown when she attended the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
