Stassi Schroeder showed off some serious under boob in an Instagram post on Wednesday. The
Vanderpump Rules star is proud of her scars from her November 2015 breast reduction, in which she went from a DDD to a D cup size. The Bravo Star wore a plain white T-shirt and hiked it up just enough to bare her naked truth, scars and all.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Stassi spoke about her recent experience at a photo shoot and her decision not to photo shop her procedure scars.
“I was like ‘Don’t edit out my scars.’ They’re awesome. I like being myself and I feel that everyone should embrace themselves,” Stassi tells PEOPLE. “It’s a scar! Scars are pretty! It’s almost like a birthmark or something like that where it’s something to not be ashamed of.”
The reality star then went on to speak about her dating life and overcoming her body insecurities.
“Especially when I was single last year and started dating and then obviously you get intimate with someone and they’re like ‘What is that?’ and for a split second I remember being embarrassed and then like saying ‘F— that,’ ” Stassi says. “I’m so proud of my body because it’s mine,” she adds.
Stassi says she wants to be an inspiration to others and hopes encourage women to embrace their insecurities as well.
She Continued: “We live in the world of the Kardashians right now, and we have to have waist trainers and boobs and a butt, and if we don’t have a small waist with that we’re not that attractive and everything is hush hush and I don’t like that,” she says about being candid about her body marks.
“If we’re open and honest with each other about what it takes for us to feel good about ourselves, it’s only going to help everybody else,” Stassi says. “It shouldn’t even be something to be questioned, it shouldn’t even be something that’s Photoshopped out, it shouldn’t be a question to show it or not to show it.”
Stassi ended off confessing her biggest fear: “If this is what my body looks like with these scars, then that’s what they are. I don’t want to pretend that I’m something that I’m not. That is my f—ing absolute worst fear. It drives me insane when other people act like that.”
