Shannon Beador went through a terrifying health crisis in the September 17 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She had her friends rush her to urgent care because she was experiencing a severe headache and blurry vision after Kelly Dodd hit her over the head with a hammer.
During the episode, Shannon, 55, took the whole group the Miraval resort in Arizona for some relaxing and rewinding. But Kelly, 43, wasn’t feeling the calming vibes and kept making jokes about sex.
Soon after arriving, the women took part in a sound bath. They went around the room, ripping petals from a rose and talking about the things they wanted to let go of in their lives. And while most of the women took the sessions very seriously, Kelly made jokes about how much she wanted her new water venture to succeed.
“We are at a place of healing, and I feel as though Kelly’s making a mockery of it,” Shannon complained. “Yeah, we all want success in our business, but how superficial is that? Don’t mock the process.”
At one point, Shannon put a tiny copper bowl on top of her head. A healer explained that she would be “stand[ing] in a motherbowl to clear your energy field and expand your aura.” But it didn’t go according to plan.

Kelly decided to play a prank and whacked the bowl with a mallet. While she thought it was harmless fun, everyone freaked out at her for hurting Shannon.

“Kelly Dodd feels like the right thing to do is to whack her with a hammer," Gina Kirschenheiter told the camera. "I'm starting to feel like I don't know how I'm gonna find the zen here."

The women returned to their villas, where Shannon started to spiral about her health. She claimed her headache had grown worse and that the vision in one of her eyes had gone blurry.

Vicki Gunvalson both fed into Shannon’s rising panic. Tamra even said that her ex once hit his head and leaked spinal fluid. They decided to take her to urgent care.

Kelly was shocked when she found out. "She went to urgent care?! I know I'm strong, [but] I was just trying to put a little ding. Just a little ring in the ding," Kelly said. "I know she's full of crap!"
