It’s a question many fans and haters have found themselves asking over the years: Why, exactly, is Kim Kardashian famous? Add another person to the list — her daughter North West! The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed in a new interview that her oldest child asked her why she’s famous, and she was a little tongue-tied answering. In a new interview with Big Boy on Real 92.3, Kim, 37, revealed that North realized something was up. One day she asked, “Mom, why are you famous?” Kim copied the child’s light voice.

“I was like, ‘Oh. Ok. I’m gonna have to explain this.’” Big Boy and his co-hosts laughed knowingly.

North accepted that. Kim said, “She was like, ‘Oh ok.’” That was the first time her daughter noticed that being famous was not normal.

Obviously, Kim didn’t want to explain to a child the whole saga, starting with her infamous sex tape. And she definitely didn’t want to explain who O.J. Simpson is or how grandpa Robert Kardashian helped him in his murder trial.
