Nicole Kidman is usually one of the most glamorous women in every room she walks into, but at the Monte Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean on September 26, she had a human moment when she suffered a major makeup fail. Nicole’s makeup wasn’t fully blended, leaving her with an embarrassing amount of white powder under her eyes and over her nose.
Nicole, 52, attended the third annual gala in Monaco without husband Keith Urban. The event is held by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to fund initiatives around the world that support a sustainable ocean. Prince Albert’s mom was Hollywood legend Grace Kelly, who Nicole once played in a movie, 2014’s Grace of Monaco.
The Big Little Lies star wore a classic tea-length cocktail dress for Thursday’s gala. It featured a sheer top and long sheer sleeves. The top was finished with a bow and a sparkling brooch that matched her earrings. Her long blonde hair fell in loose waves.

Nicole’s makeup was just as timeless as her outfit. The actress donned a bright red lip. But the line caused by the white powder disrupted the effect and distracted in photos.
