Fans were surprised when Miley Cyrus’ new rap-inspired song started circulating on the Internet. In the track, “Cattitude,” she dissed Nicki Minaj and praised Cardi B, saying, “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.”
Nicki, 36, and Cardi, 26, were locked in a vicious feud last fall that culminated in a blowout fight at New York Fashion Week.
Miley, 26, also had her own feud with Nicki that blew up in 2015 at the MTV VMAs. “Back to this b***h that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press; Miley, what’s good?” Nicki iconically said from the stage.
But now, the “Wrecking Ball” singer is taking a step back from the drama she started. In a new interview, she said her lyrics weren’t a dig at Nicki at all. She even compared the feud to her relationships with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande. Click through the gallery for all the info.

Miley spoke to the radio show Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp. When asked about Cardi and Nicki’s feud, she said, “I don't think there is beef now anymore.”

She continued, “Actually, one of my songs says, ‘You want to know if we're really beefin'? There's no beef. I'm a vegan.’ I think you're allowed to enjoy two artists that fill a similar lane.”

The “Malibu” singer compared it to her relationships with other artists around her age. She said, “I just always grew up collaborating with Selena and Demi, and there was never competition. That's why Ariana is one of my best friends.”

“I think what they do is so different from each other,” she said of Nicki and Cardi. “That's why they both get a crown. They don't have to share. They don't have to break it in half. There's no reason to fight over it.

That’s what led Nicki to clap back at the VMAs. Miley responded at the time saying, “Hey, we’re all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate s**t. Nicki, congratu-f**king-lations.”
