Kim Kardashian has spoken in the past about loving her body and the importance of body positivity. But the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was singing a very different tune in a new interview. She said she’ll never think it’s “positive” to show her cellulite.

“I’ll never be a person who says it’s a more positive thing if I show my cellulite,” she told WSJ Magazine about her decision to wear shapewear all the time.

“The feeling when I had to wear that corset, [the shapewear] is not that. It’s the second skin that makes me feel comfortable and cozy and all smoothed,” Kim explained.

“All I have to do is type Kim and Shamu,” she explained, pointing out the numerous people who compared her pregnant body to a whale online. “That really changed my security. It broke my soul for a while.”

Kim’s cellulite comment was an about face from ones she made in the past. She
wrote on her blog in 2016, “I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me.”

“I have never felt pain like that in my life. I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off — the indentations on my back and my stomach,” she said of the fashion choice.
