Kelly Clarkson did an incredible job hosting the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on May 1. The American Idol winner performed in two musical numbers and carried the show with aplomb.
Fans realized her work was even more impressive when she revealed that she had been suffering from severe appendicitis during the show. Entertainment Tonight, she flew from Las Vegas to Los Angeles immediately after the show in order to have the surgery.
