Her death shocked the world, and many celebrities took to Twitter to share their devestation, including rapper Kanye West, who posted a screenshot of an article about the fashion designer's alleged battle with depression, writing, “All love to her family,” with three prayer hand emojis.

As Star readers know, Kanye has been pretty candid about his own struggles with mental illness after being hospitalized in 2016. The "Heartless" singer revealed on Big Boy TV that he was “diagnosed with a mental condition” at the age of 39.

Not to mention that his new album, Ye, even features the message, “I hate being bi-polar it’s awesome,” on the cover.

On the album, the rapper, who is a designer himself, also addresses the topic of suicide in his song “I Thought About Killing You.” “Today I seriously thought about killing you," he raps. "I contemplated, premeditated murder / And I think about killing myself, and I love myself way more than I love you, so."

Although Kate's alleged suicide was a shock to her fans, it wasn't to her family and friends, according to an insider. “Kate was a beautiful and sweet person but it was no secret that she was a big drinker, especially in the past couple of years,”
a source close to Kate told Radaronline.com exclusively following her shocking death. “Her family tried to intervene many times, and she didn’t want to hear any of it. Instead, she medicated herself her way.”
