Kate Gosselin got custody of their eight kids after she divorced Jon Gosselin way back in 2009. Since then, life for the Kate Plus 8 crew has only gotten more complicated. Just yesterday, Jon, 41, shared a photo of Collin
getting a haircut. He wrote in the caption, "A HUGE thank you to Eric Rodriguez @ebarber828 at Mike and Joes Barber shop for welcoming my son Collin home with a fresh new cut!!!" Fans thought his son was just visiting, but now it's clear Jon intends for Collin to make that his home full time.
According to Pennsylvania court documents viewed by Radar
, Jon and his attorney filed custody papers on October 24. They claimed it would be in the 14-year-old’s best interest to live with his father upon his release from an inpatient center.
reported in 2016 that Collin had anger issues
that his mom felt she couldn't handle. Kate decided the best path for her son was to put him in a treatment facility.
“Collin has special needs,” Kate had told People
. “[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own.
Jon, meanwhile, maintained Collin is "really smart" and "incredibly intuitive."
