As Star previously reported, Joe Giudice, 43, must adhere to a strict set of rules during his 41-month stay at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, N.J..

Now, RadarOnline is revealing that the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars are unable to video chat behind bars!

“Inmates at some of our institutions are able to connect with family at home through video service technology,” Justin Long, a spokesperson for the Office of Public Affairs at the Federal Bureau of Prisons told Radar.

"While many of our institutions, including FCI Fort Dix, do not have this capability presently, we are in the process expanding our video services to more institutions," he explained.

“Skype [is] not permitted at the Bureau’s institutions,” he added.

For now, “he will get to use the phone and email,” an insider told Radar.
