Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is a free man. The 37-year-old was released from custody on September 12 after eight months behind bars.
Mike was sentenced to eight months of jail time in October 2018. He pleaded guilty to falsifying business and personal tax returns. He began serving jail time at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in January 2019. That gave him enough time to marry then-fiancé Lauren Pesce in November before he had to turn himself into custody. They also went on a quick honeymoon in the weeks before his sentence began.
RadarOnline.com confirmed the news of Mike’s release. MTV cameras were rolling outside of the prison, presumably filming for the next season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
Mike still has to complete 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service after his discharge.
