Hoda Kotb Announces Return To The ‘Today’ Show

“I’m not going to lie, this probably has been the best summer of my entire life with these two kids, I’ve loved every second of it. But you know what else I’m going to love? Coming back to you guys,” Hoda told her coworkers when she called into the show on August 20.

Hoda and Joel, 61, also have daughter Haley, 2. They adopted her shortly after her birth, just like they did with Hope this spring.

Both adoptions were surprises for her Today costars.

Hoda’s fourth hour cohost, Jenna Bush Hager, just welcomed her third child, Henry “Hal” Harold, on August 2.

Between their two maternity leaves, the two women have had few chances to host the show together since Jenna, 37, took over for Kathie Lee Gifford in April, days before Hope was born.

Hoda will continue to anchor the earlier hours of Today with Savannah Guthrie.
