Throughout their four-year marriage, the animal-loving couple adopted nine dogs, but it was a blonde puppy named Emmy Lou (which Miranda, 31, found in a ditch in 2012) that stole the crooner's heart.

"Blake and Emmy Lou have such a special bond—he let her sleep in bed every night," says an insider. "It's been tough for him not to see her anymore, but he knows he's not around enough to properly care for her."
