RadarOnline discovered that the show's producers doubted Brooks from the start. “The crew would go to film outside the hospital for an hour or so while Brooks was inside,” a show insider told RadarOnline. “When he came out, he would refuse to talk about the ‘treatment’ he had just undergone. He couldn’t answer anyone’s questions.”

Star previously reported that while both Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador were upset to hear Brooks' announcement, they weren't shocked. "From day one I called him out. I felt he was a con man. "I am still trying to connect the dots. It doesn't make sense that Vicki would say she spent four hours with Brooks for chemo at the City of Hope when he was never treated there. The truth always comes out," Shannon, 51, said. "If someone in the public followed his treatment and his cancer was faked, and that person died, then that would be heartbreaking and tragic."

Heather Dubrow, 46, agreed with her co-stars. "The root of it is, Brooks is proven to be a con man," she said. "Tamra has said this for years. I didn't believe it until this year; now I see it." She added, "I'm sad for Vicki that she's going through these difficult times, but how much of it was brought on by herself?" she added.

"Being that I watched my fiancé take his last breath as he passed away from cancer, I am appalled and disgusted that anyone would lie or makeup false documents about a very serious disease that millions are fighting against for their lives everyday," Gretchen Rossi, 37, said even though she was not part of this season's drama.
