But then, their nascent relationship was rocked by allegations from Jed’s ex, Haley Stevens, that he’d been dating her right until he left for the show. Betrayed, Hannah broke off the engagement — and broke up with him. Then, she asked out Tyler!

“I've been waiting my whole life to have my happy ending,” Hannah, 24, said before accepting Jed’s musical proposal. But her dream quickly turned into a nightmare.

“With Jed, I was so happy, because I thought I was getting this person I can spend my life with, who is sweet and sincere and honest, and that's not been the case,” she told the camera.

Hannah explained that Jed, 25, had told her he’d been with another girl a week before he went on the show, but that it was over.
When Haley told her story to Us Weekly, Hannah realized Jed had lied about the “extent” of the relationship.

“I don't even know where to start,” she said, confronting him. “Why did you wait for all this to happen for me to find out what actually happened?”

Jed doubled down on his claims. “I didn't feel like it was an exclusive thing. It never felt like a relationship to me,” he said about his time with Haley. “We hung out a few times.”

He eventually admitted that things were, in fact, more serious. They’d gone on dates, slept together, met each other’s parents, and even gone on vacation.

Jed also confessed that he’d told Haley he loved her even though he “knew it was a mistake.” He said he ended their relationship, “in my heart, not verbally.”

“I have sobbed on the floor. I felt like my whole life just caved in, and everything that I thought was true and real wasn't. I have been mad as hell. And just questioning what happened. But I've gotten a lot stronger through it,” the former pageant queen confessed.
