While keeping their 40-year-old mother,
Angelina Jolie, company during the filming of the actress’ latest project,
First They Killed My Father, Zahara and Shiloh have decided to put their time in Cambodia to good use — and Angie couldn’t be more proud!

Maddox, 14, has helped Angie behind the scenes and has been “learning more about his country [Cambodia],” Angie's daughters Zahara and Shiloh decided to give their stay a different approach.

The two girls have spent their time in Siem Riep helping Leida Shoun, a 16-year-old Cambodian native, as well as with the rest of her family, composed of a dozen siblings between the ages of two to 23. According to Leida, the youngsters have been informally “sponsoring” her family.

Since their first meeting alongside their father,
Brad Pitt, 51, the girls have since twice returned, taking Leida and her family on shopping trips for over $200 worth of new clothing and even buying them bikes! “We only had one bicycle, and it was old, so for us, this was an amazing gift,” Leida stated.

Since experiencing the Jolie-Pitts generosity, Leida too has become inspired with helping others and has stated that she wants “to help other people be good.”
