Some viewers thought that a video of Chrissy Metz on the red carpet showed the This Is Us actress calling Alison Brie a “b—h” on a hot mic. clip, Chrissy, 38, talks to two red carpet reporters. “Do you know a girl named Alison Brie?” one asks. “Do I,” Chrissy says. “Well I hear she’s at the other end of the carpet,” the host says, as the camera cuts to a shot of Alison.

Rumors quickly spread online and at the awards that it was Chrissy calling Alison a b—h. Alison, 36, learned about the incident from a reporter in the ballroom. “But why?” the

wondered. “I know her. I saw her on the carpet and I told her how beautiful she looked.”

Chrissy started striking back on Twitter. “I adore Alison and would never say a bad word about her, or anyone! I sure hope she knows my heart,” she
tweeted.

“I’m so distraught and upset,” she told
People. “I don’t speak about anyone like that. I don’t speak like that. I love Alison, I follow her,” Metz shared. “When I was walking up they said, ‘Do you know Alison,’ and I said, ‘Oh boy, do I.’ I love her.”
