Kim Kardashian is taking the news about her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson becoming a father pretty hard, according to a source.
On July 16, the comedian, 31, and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, revealed they are expecting their first child together. Now a source tells Star that Kardashian, 44 — who dated the Saturday Night Live alum from 2021 to 2022 — “is trying not to be bitter.”
“She has sent him a text to say congrats,” shares the source, “but there’s no doubt it still stings.”
According to the source, “Kim fell so hard for Pete. It’s still the only serious relationship she’s had since the divorce from Kanye [West].”

When things ended with Davidson, TheKardashians star was “totally devastated,” reveals the source, adding that she had “a faint flicker of hope that their journey wasn’t totally done.”
However, the source says that since the Skims founder learned the baby news, “she’s accepting it as the final nail in the coffin.”
As Star reported earlier this year, the reality TV personality, and the Staten Island native ran into each other in February at SNL’s 50th Anniversary Special in NYC.
“They saw each other behind the scenes and had a chance to chat for a while,” an insider revealed at the time. “Kim has a soft spot for Pete and always will.”
“They had something good and pure,” the insider continued. “Kim cherishes the time they spent together.”

The insider shared that one of the reasons behind their breakup was that Davidson was “inexperienced with fame,” adding that West’s “bullying,” which included mocking the actor on social media, “definitely didn’t help.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum tied the knot with West, 48, in 2014 and filed for divorce from him in 2021. In 2022, the pair — who share kids North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — finalized their divorce.
Over the weekend, Davidson displayed some PDA on the red carpet with Hewitt, 29, at the L.A. premiere of his upcoming film The Pickup. The couple’s outing marked their first public appearance together since announcing their pregnancy.
The King of Staten Island star spoke to Extraat the premiere, telling the outlet he’s “glad” fatherhood is “happening now” for him, and pointing out its serendipitous timing with him acting alongside Eddie Murphy, which he said was his “dream.”
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both these things are happening at the same time because I feel like I’m finally in a place where I’m ready for it,” he reflected.
