Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, hit the red carpet over the weekend, marking their first public appearance together since announcing that they are expecting their first child.
On Sunday, July 27, the comedian, 31, and the British model, 29, attended the premiere of his latest film, The Pickup, at the Regal LA Live movie theater. The couple was beaming in red-carpet photos, obatined by Star, as they displayed some sweet PDA. The Saturday Night Live alum kept his arm around Hewitt’s waist, and in one photo, the pair leaned in for a kiss.
Hewitt opted for a sleek look, donning a long black dress with black pumps and letting her locks down. Meanwhile, the Staten Island native donned a brown colored tracksuit with sunglasses and sneakers.

The Bupkis actor spoke to Extraat the premiere and shared how he was looking forward to fatherhood.
“I mean, it’s the most exciting thing ever,” he gushed. “I don’t even really have words, I’m just so excited about it. And I just can’t wait for it.”
Davidson also noted that he’s “glad it’s happening now” and feels like it’s serendipitous timing with him acting alongside Eddie Murphy, which he said was his “dream.”
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both these things are happening at the same time because I feel like I’m finally in a place where I’m ready for it,” he remarked.
The pair’s appearance comes almost two weeks after Hewitt took to Instagram to announce the pregnancy on July 16. The cover shot of her post featured Davidson and her cuddled up together on the staircase with his arm on her tummy.
“Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” she captioned the post.

Following the news, a source told Star, there is “no doubt they’ll be great parents together.”
“Pete’s been wanting to have a kid for a long while now, and now his dream is coming true,” the source shared. “He and Elsie are a perfect pair. They get along so well.”
The source explained that Davidson let “a few people in his inner circle and his mom” know he and Hewitt were expecting before going public with the news.
“They see him light up talking about his child on the way and what he’s planning after he or she arrives,” the insider continued. “Pete doesn’t have a preference, boy or girl is fine.”
“It’s time to be the responsible one, and he’s up for the challenge,” the source added.
