Nicole Kidman is opening up about her split from Keith Urban two months after their divorce was finalized.
In a Variety cover story published Wednesday, March 11, the Scarpetta star, 58, was asked if she was “doing all right” since their separation.
“I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” she replied. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”
“Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect,” the mother of four — who shares daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, with the country singer, 58 — added. “I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”
Earlier in the interview, the reporter asked Kidman if 2026 would be her year, even though “every year is probably the year of Nicole Kidman.”

She candidly replied, “Well, not last year. I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell.”
“Now I’m in a place of saying, ‘2026. Here we go,’” she added. “I have [the sequel to] Practical Magic with Sandy [Bullock]. I’ll be in full witch mode.”
Kidman filed for divorce last year on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized on January 6, according to filings in Tennessee’s Davidson County Circuit Court obtained by USA Today at the time.
The couple waived their rights to spousal support, and it was reported that their daughters would primarily live with Kidman while every other weekend would be spent with their father. A schedule determines where their children will spend holidays.
Kidman, who was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001, met the “Somebody Like You” singer in 2005, and they were engaged and married the following year.
