Meghan McCain didn’t have anything positive to say about her former cohosts’ from The View regarding their interview with VicePresidentJD Vance.
“My biggest takeaway from Vance on The View is honestly how [expletive] and undisciplined the hosts STILL ARE,” McCain, 41, ranted in a message she shared via X on Tuesday, June 16.
“After all these years they still get basic facts wrong, flub easy questions and can’t get through a segment without yelling at each other,” she continued. “Vance handled it all very well.”
Vance, 41, appeared on Tuesday’s episode to promote his upcoming book, Communion: Finding My Way Back From Faith, and was asked questions about immigration, Jeffrey Epstein and more.
McCain served as the conservative panelist on the daytime talk show from 2017 to 2021, and during her four years on The View, she frequently made headlines for her on-air clashes with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.

In 2020, the political commentator was shut down by Whoopi Goldberg when she asked, “Do you want to hear a conservative perspective on this show ever?”
Her remark angered Goldberg, 70, who snapped, “Girl, please stop talking. Please stop talking right now.”
However, it was her argument with Behar, 83, that led to her ultimately quitting the show.
In January 2025, McCain returned from maternity leave and quipped that Behar had missed her while she was gone.
“That was the day I decided,” McCain said in an interview with Variety at the time. “I had postpartum anxiety. When I was back, I was really nervous. It was like starting TV all over again. I felt unsteady. I was trying to make a joke, ‘You missed me so much.’ If you watch the clip, her reaction is very sharp.”
Since leaving The View, she’s now the host of her own podcast, Citizen McCain.
