Fans of The Voice are in for a treat when Kelly Clarkson returns as a coach for Season 29 — and this time, she’s debuting a fresh new look.

In a new promo for the show shared via Instagram on Wednesday, July 23, Clarkson turns around her chair and debuts a stylish bob haircut.

The “Because of You” hitmaker, 49, dazzled with her freshly highlighted locks, which lay right above her shoulders and were curled for the occasion.

“This time, we’ve got some tricks up our sleeve, so get ready,” she teased.

Fans were elated to see the American Idol winner alongside fellow coaches Adam Levine and John Legend, leading to many celebratory comments online with a handful adoring her cropped new ‘do.

“Wait I wasn’t ready. KC lookin’ fiiine,” one commenter wrote. “Short and sassier hair on Kelly … love it,” read another response. “I love that look on Kelly with her short hair,” a third replied.

Among those raving over her new look was none other than TV personality Jenna Bush Hager, who documented her own hair transformation on live TV just weeks ago.

“Kelly Clarkson got a bob? Kelly, call me! We’re in the bob club,” she told TODAY.com.

As for what viewers can expect, season 29 of The Voice will have a total of four rounds, including the blind auditions, battles, knockouts and semi-finals/finale.

“The landmark season will be infused with fast-paced, competitive elements inspired by both, delivering a fresh twist on the format that raises the stakes for coaches and artists alike,” a press announcement read.

Season 29 won’t be airing until spring 2026 so fans will have to enjoy the 28th season — which drops this September — featuring coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire for now.

Clarkson last appeared on the show during season 23 and was confirmed to be returning for The Voice: Battle of Champions in July.

The chart-topping performer previously spoke about her exit, revealing in 2023 that she wanted a “fresh start” in New York City — where her talk show is taped — in the wake of her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

“Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life,” she told USA Today at the time. “I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling, and also what you should not handle.”

“That was me saying ‘bye’ to The Voice and having this big move,” she shared. “I love that family, but I was like, ‘I’m struggling. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling.’”
