Natalie Portman’s ‘Solid’ Boyfriend Tanguy Destable ‘Renewed Her Faith’ After Benjamin Millepied Split

Natalie Portman recently shared that she’s expecting her third child — her first with boyfriend Tanguy Destable — at 44. The daughter of a fertility doctor, the actress said she’s “very grateful” to be pregnant in this phase of her life. “I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she said to Harper’s Bazaar. “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it… It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing. And so I know how lucky it is.”

The Oscar winner is already mom to son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9, her kids with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, who she divorced in 2024 following rumors that he’d had an affair. She’s been dating French music producer Tanguy, 45, since last year, and a source says the two are talking marriage. “It’s all moved very quickly, but she went through a period where she was disillusioned with men in general, and Tanguy has totally renewed her faith. He’s such a solid guy, and she says there’s a sense of peace with him.”

Natalie revealed that she has “more energy” than she expected during this third go-round, and added that she feels much more prepared than she did as a young mom. “I read so many books the first time, and now I’m like, ‘Oh, we know what to do,’ ” she said. “I feel like if you’re just present and loving, that’s the best thing possible.”
