Meghan Markle made high-end department store Kitson’s annual holiday display, but that’s not necessarily a good thing.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, was crowned the “Montecito Diva” in a poster displayed in the store’s window seen in a video shared by Kitson’s Instagram on Sunday, December 7. It also included a variety of different headlines about Meghan from 2025 that didn’t portray her in the most favorable way.
One headline read, “Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are disliked by Americans: ‘The most unpopular kids in school’” while another said, “Meghan Markle’s ‘Homemade’ Jam Reportedly Mass-Produced 2,000 Miles Away From Her Montecito Home.”
The store displays a list of what’s become known as their “holiday hypocrites” every year since 2020. Along with Meghan, California governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass, George Clooney and Katy Perry were some of the other high-profile figures on the list this year.
However, this isn’t the first time Meghan has made Kitson’s list.
In 2023, the display accused Meghan and husband Prince Harry of “eco-hypocrisy,” and called out their frequent use of private jets while publicly supporting environmental causes. That year, both Harry, 41, and Meghan were included in the store’s display and they were surrounded by headlines highlighting the various different trips they took throughout the year.

The news of Meghan’s addition to the 2025 list comes on the heels of her older sister slamming her after their father, Thomas Markle, underwent surgery to amputate his leg.
A Sussex spokesperson told People on Friday, December 5 that the Suits alum had “reached out to her father,” but her 61-year-old half-sister Samantha Markle went on a rant via X claiming that Meghan never called during his time in the hospital.
“‘Houston’ there’s been no contact… Time to stop the PR b* Medusa,” Samantha wrote on December 6.
