Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure may have grown up together on the set of Full House, but as adults, their political tendencies could not be more opposite.
During Sweetin’s appearance on the February 12 episode of the Only Child with Bob the Drag Queen podcast, Bob the Drag Queen alluded to his thoughts on Bure. “Candace has gone a little bit …,” the comedian began.
Sweetin, 44, nodded before adding, “Candace does her thing and, you know, we sit on very opposite sides of things.”
“I’m just, kind of, a loud outspoken bitch about a lot of things, and that’s not going to stop me and if that ain’t you, that ain’t you,” Sweetin added.

The two went on to joke that Bure — a vocal supporter of President DonaldTrump — could portray Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in the future film about Trump’s presidency.
Sweetin and the former The View cohost, 49, played sisters Stephanie Tanner and D.J. Tanner, respectively, on the long-running family sitcom Full House. They later reprised their roles in the 2016 Netflix spinoff Fuller House.
Sweetin previously opened up about their “very different” stances on the LGBTQ+ community.
“We’ve lived very different lifestyles. We just exist in sort of very different worlds,” she said during a May 2025 episode of the Vault with Monica & Amir podcast. “But she is still someone who I’ve known since I was 5 years old.”
“So it’s like family members … maybe we don’t talk all the time and I know that if politics comes up, it is not going to go well, but I don’t hate you and I’m not going to not hug you,” she added. “But I’m also not going to keep my mouth shut.”
