During the Monday, December 22, episode of her and husband Jeremy Vuolo’s The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, the former soccer player, 38, revealed that the couple has “not been back to the Duggar house since we’ve been married — in nine years — for Christmas. And we’re going this year.”
“It’s exciting,” the Growing Up Duggar author, 32, added of going to see her family on December 25.

“The reason we haven’t been back for Christmas Day is because that’s the only time of year that your family is all together,” she said to her husband, explaining that they typically see the Vuolos for the holiday.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum, who is the sixth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, said that her family is “always together a lot.” The Duggars are known for being devout Independent Baptist Christians and for their particularly large family.
“It’s easy for us just to pop back,” said Jinger, explaining that she is often with her family for events like weddings.
“But you’ve started to get real nostalgic about Christmas,” Jeremy explained. “So, we’re going back for Christmas this year.”

Jinger — who shares daughters Felicity, 7, and Evangeline, 5, as well as 9-month old son Finnegan with Jeremy — said that she wants “our girls to experience a Dugger family Christmas.”
“What does that look like, especially with the 19 kids?” Jeremy asked, wanting to know if everyone runs downstairs first thing in the morning to open gifts or if they have a more organized approach.
“We’ve done different kinds of things,” Jinger said, explaining that when it was a “free-for-all” it could be “chaos.”
“I don’t know what they do now,” she added. “We’re going to be excited to jump in and see.”
