The Jennifer Hudson Show might have reached the end of the road, Rob Shuter has reported.
According to the Thursday, February 5, edition of Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, host Jennifer Hudson and her senior staff have reportedly been told the show — which premiered in 2022 — will end after season 4, which is currently airing.
One insider claimed the show coming to a close wasn’t the 44-year-old EGOT winner’s “choice,” as “she wanted to keep going.”

“Jennifer is heartbroken,” another source shared, noting “she really believed in this show.”
“She gave it everything,” a third source told Shuter. “That’s why this hurts so much.”
The alleged cancellation comes amid a slew of other daytime talk shows not being renewed. As Star previously reported, on Monday, February 2, it was confirmed that Sherri Shepard‘s daytime talk show, Sherri, was ending after the current season and that Kelly Clarkson would not return to her eponymous talk show either.

Clarkson — who shares children River, 11, and Remington, 9, with late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock — took to X sharing a lengthy statement about her decision, explaining in part, “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
Though another inside source told Star reports of The Jennifer Hudson Show‘s cancellation are “misleading and inaccurate,” another source told Shuter, “daytime talk is collapsing fast,” as “the economics just don’t work anymore.”
