Estranged Exes Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Agree to Meet, Nearly 5 Years After Divorce (Exclusive)

Miley Cyrus has held onto a few things from her failed marriage to Liam Hemsworth, including her Vivienne Westwood wedding gown and the dress she wore on their first date.

She’s also held onto a lot of remorse.

“As much as Miley’s tried to just let it all go and move on, she’s really had a tough time,” a source admits to Star. “Liam was her first everything. She truly believed they were destined to be together and she regrets a lot of the way things went down towards the end of their relationship.”

With the fifth anniversary of their divorce approaching in January, the “Malibu” singer, 35, who’s currently dating musician Maxx Morando, wants to clear the air with her ex-husband, also 35.

“Miley’s the type of person who hates having things unsaid and she swears that’s the reason she wants to see Liam again,” says the source. “This isn’t something she wants to do over text.”

Surprisingly, the Hunger Games star has agreed to sit down with Cryus, the source reveals, even though it’s set to cause tension with his new fiancée, model Gabriella Brooks.

“Liam hates confrontation, so he’s just avoided Miley since the day things imploded, literally just ghosted her,” says the source, adding that the pop star has been “very persistent” in trying to reach the actor.

“It’s getting harder to ignore [though, so] Liam’s finally agreed to meet up with Miley the next time he’s in Los Angeles,” says the source, “which has made her very happy.”
