Tom Bergeron will be back in the ballroom next week — and fans are freaking out!
On Wednesday, November 5, the TV personality, 70, appeared on Good Morning America to announce he would be the guest judge on next week’s 20th Anniversary episode of Dancing with the Stars.
The comedian was the original host of the dance competition show — which premiered in 2005 — but was let go in 2020 ahead of season 29, to many fans’ dismay. However, Bergeron seems to have no bad blood with the show as he said he’s “looking forward” to coming back.
Good Morning America posted the video of the announcement on Instagram, and fans took to the comment section to gush over Bergeron’s return.
“This is every OG DWTS fan dream come true!!!!” one user commented.
“Couldn’t be more perfect, can’t wait to see Tom back in the ballroom ❤️,” a second wrote.

“I shouldn’t have cried to this reveal but I most certainly did!” a third admitted. “I’m so excited to see Tom back in the ballroom!”
“WOOHOO 🙌🏻 YAY !!! I have missed Him, this so made my day,❤️❤️,” another penned.
While the former America’s Funniest Home Videos host played coy as to who he’s rooting for, he named Alix Earle and Robert Irwin as some of the “definite frontrunners” this season.
Bergeron also noted Andy Richter was “the heart of the show.”
“He [Richter] epitomizes what I always thought the show was at its best because technique alone is robotic, but when you bring passion to it, enthusiasm, and just a charming personality that can make up for a lot,” Bergeron remarked on Good Morning America.
