With The Bachelorette just days away from its season 22 premiere, a new report claimed Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, warned producers about past abuse allegations involving her.
According to an article published by TMZ on Tuesday, March 17, sources close to Paul, 31, claimed that Mortensen, 33, had multiple conversations with Bachelorette producers regarding her past behavior. ABC allegedly turned a blind eye to his claims.
The outlet also reported that producers on the show even wanted Mortensen to make an appearance during her season. However, he ultimately didn’t film anything for The Bachelorette.

Plus, the source claimed that Mortensen doesn’t believe he can even film with Paul on their Hulu reality show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and he allegedly told producers of that show that he had concerns about their relationship.
Earlier this week, news broke that filming for season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives had pressed pause on filming due to a blowup between cast members. It was later revealed that the Draper City Police Department confirmed to People that there was an open “domestic assault investigation” involving Paul and Mortensen.
“They are not filming,” a source told the publication on Monday, March 16. “Taylor has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”

Mortensen and Paul have had a volatile on-and-off relationship for years, and he is the father of her youngest son, Ever, who turns 2 later this week.
As Star previously reported, the TikTok influencer addressed the allegations when she appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday, March 18. Paul told GMA host Lara Spencer that “it’s been a heavy time to see the headlines.”
A Disney Entertainment spokesperson told TMZ, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
