The It Ends With Us drama continues as alleged text messages between Blake Lively and costar Brandon Sklenar have been released amid the actress’ ongoing court battle with their director, Justin Baldoni.
In court documents obtained by Star, Lively, 38, described herself as a “pimp” in a text message to Sklenar, 35, in May 2024, before broaching the topic of the Housemaid actor being able to promote the film.
“I hope your show gives you space to hustle. Especially once It comes out, week 2 will be a time that it will get especially heated for you,” she continued, referring to the Yellowstone prequel 1923.

Sklenar assured Lively he was “working on it,” before seemingly bashing the Taylor Sheridan series in which he starred as fan favorite Spencer Dutton.
“They are particularly shy about that. But I’m gonna do everything I can to make it happen,” he added. “It would be a crime to not ride that momentum.”
The Gossip Girl star encouraged him to reach out to his agent for help, as she had previous experience with a show holding her back “from every opportunity outside of it.”
“They feel like you owe them, so they tend to attempt to dim your light so you don’t outgrow them. And it has the opposite effect than they intend,” she continued, seemingly referring to the early 2000s teen drama. “It makes you resent them and wanna get out.”

Sklenar agreed, claiming he would never do another show after 1923 “that’s for damn sure.”
“Thankfully we only have seven eps left,” he explained. “It was only meant to be the 8 and they added 7 more as soon as we started the first 8.”
The actor also appeared to be fully on Lively’s side in her drama with the Jane the Virgin star, telling her that Baldoni is “fing himself for any future work.”
Lively and Baldoni are scheduled to begin trial in their legal saga in May.
