Bethenny Frankel Claims Meghan Markle’s Ex-Husband Knew She Was Going to Marry Prince Harry

Bethenny Frankel had the inside scoop on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding before the duchess even knew herself.

Frankel, 55, was a guest on The Toast podcast on November 12, and she revealed that she met Markle’s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, and claimed that he told her he was positive the mom of two would go on to marry Harry, 41.

“He said his ex was a woman from a show called Suits,” Frankel explained. “I didn’t know what the show was, I didn’t know the woman. Months later, I see pictures … of Harry dating someone and I texted him, ‘Is this your ex?’”

After Engelson confirmed that the woman in question was his ex, the former Real Housewives of New York star said that she asked him if he “thought she was going to close,” referencing whether or not Markle would marry the royal.

“He was like, ‘Oh, she’ll close.’ I don’t want to get into more about that but he was like, ‘She’ll close.’” Frankel continued. “I thought she was wonderful and was so great for the monarchy. I liked the message and all the things.”

Markle and Hollywood producer Engelson dated for several years before officially tying the knot in 2011. However, by 2013 they had called it quits and the following year their divorce was finalized.
