Even after a self-proclaimed “horrible” pregnancy, Kelly Clarkson is ready to give her daughter, River, a sibling! After taking months off following River’s birth, the singer recently released her comeback single “Heartbeat Song,” and while promoting it, opened up about expanding her family with Brandon Blackstock.
“I love it. I love it,” the 32-year-old gushed about motherhood. “She’s pretty awesome. And my husband is running from me because I want another one!”
However, with a new album and tour in the works, the American Idol alum added that a second child won’t come right away. “I want another one in, like, a year,” she corrected.
Kelly’s album Piece by Piece comes out in March and, besides her 2013 Christmas album, will be her first new record since 2011’s Stronger. But there’s a reason for the delay. “I was hospitalized [during my pregnancy],” she admitted. “It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time than normal.”
