Justin Bieber has his dad’s support following his arrest on Thursday. Jeremy Bieber took to Twitter to defend his oldest son.
“I can protect my kids, but I can’t protect them from you and your lies,” he wrote. “Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife.” The dad of three didn’t get specific about what “lies” he was referring to.
The singer was arrested early Thursday morning after being pulled over for drag racing. He was charged with DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. It’s rumored that his dad was present throughout the situation, and even helped block off part of a residential street so the 19-year-old could race cars.
Meanwhile, Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, has yet to speak out regarding the incident. However, another report claims that she provided her son with prescription pills, which he took before being booked.
The “Heartbreaker” singer also got support from his longtime manager, Scooter Braun. “@justinbieber love you and i will act in the manner of someone who truly cares,” he tweeted. “that is all I have to say. thanks for all those concerned.” He later confirmed that he plans to stick by his protege, adding, “Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad.”
