Although John Mayer’s latest album Paradise Valley reached No. 2 on the US Billboard charts, the record’s first two singles didn’t exactly make a name for themselves. An important collaboration on the album’s third single, though, might make the difference.
The singer duets with his girlfriend Katy Perry on the romantic tune “Who You Love,” which already created some buzz even before he announced it as the new single. On Monday, John released the cover art for the song, which shows he and the “Unconditionally” singer in a stunning, black-and-white photo.
For the pic, John sits on the floor, strumming his guitar, with Katy lying behind him on a couch, one arm draped over her man’s shoulder. “”Who You Love” is here. Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl. – JM,” the 36-year-old captioned the cover art photo.
Let’s hope collaborating with a girlfriend works out better for John this time around…last time he did so was with Taylor Swift, and we all know how that ended…
