A cancelled tour, a deleted Twitter account, and almost two weeks later (finally)…a break in the silence. After laying low following the announcement of their tour cancellation, Nick and Joe Jonas have tweeted for the first time.
“Please hold while we get our shit together,” Joe wrote on Tuesday. His younger brother had a more polite message, simply tweeting, “Bear with us.” Oldest brother (and soon to be dad!), Kevin Jonas’, account has still been inactive since Oct. 1.
Meanwhile, the brothers’ band twitter page for The Jonas Brothers is still suspended, and fans are taken to an error screen after typing in the URL. The deactivated Twitter account came shortly after the bros decided to call off their tour just two days before it was set to begin on Oct. 11. According to a spokesperson for the trio, the sudden change was due to a “deep rift” between the band members regarding the future direction of their music.
Both Nick and Joe have been seen out and about with their respective girlfriends since the shocking news, but no band members have commented on the situation directly — and from the look of these tweets, it doesn’t look like they’re quite ready to!
