The biggest stars in country music came together on Wednesday for the CMT Awards, and the ladies were certainly dressed to impress. Naturally, three of country’s most powerful women, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, managed to turn heads on the purple carpet and during their live performances.

Carrie was gorgeous as ever in aqua-colored shorts and matching jacket from George Chakra’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection (seriously, look at those legs). She glammed up the look even more with peep-toe black heels and her hair in curls.
During the show, Carrie performed her song “See You Again,” dedicated to victims of the recent Oklahoma tornadoes, and took home the award for Video of the Year for “Blown Away.”
Taylor was flawless in a beige, strapless Ellie Saab, hi-lo dress with embroidered detailing. She paired the look with matching, peep-toe booties and her hair pulled back into an updo.
During the show, Taylor rocked out to her song “Red” on stage.
Miranda sparkled in a short, printed dress which she paired with strappy, silver heels.
During the show, Miranda performed her hit “Mama’s Broken Heart,” and took home the awards for Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year, both for her song “Over You.”
