What does Wilmer Valderrama have to say about this?! The actor’s girlfriend, Demi Lovato, is currently on her world tour, and brought a very special, albeit surprising, guest onstage at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Saturday.
The singer shocked fans by singing the song “This Is Me” from her 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock, but the crowd was in for an even bigger surprise when costar and ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas joined her for his verse in the tune. “Tonight was amazing,” the former Jonas Brother wrote on Instagram afterward. “Fun keeping this a secret.”
Demi and Joe dated in 2010, but split while touring together for Camp Rock 2 — the same tour that the “Really Don’t Care” singer eventually pulled out of to enter rehab. However, she’s since maintained that she’s remained friends with her ex, and is especially close with his younger brother, Nick Jonas (they’ve performed together several times and even sing a duet on his upcoming album).
“Still blown away by Staples last night,” the 22-year-old tweeted. “Definitely a dream come true… Thanks SO MUCH to @travisbarker & @joejonas 4 sharing this w/ me!!!”
Although Joe recently broke up with his girlfriend, things seem to be holding up for Demi and Wilmer, who’ve been dating on and off since 2010. In fact, just earlier this month, she uploaded a throwback photo of the duo and included in the caption, “Missing you.”
