Tyra Banks Confesses to Cleaning ‘Crumbs’ Off Floor by ‘Eating Them’ Days Later — and Fans Are Shocked

Tyra Banks left Today cohost Jenna Bush Hager and viewers stunned with a bizarre cleaning confession.

On the Monday, July 28, installment of the show, the former America’s Next Top Model host, 51, admitted that she will pick up food crumbs off of the floor or her bed and eat them, instead of putting them in the trash – even if it’s a few days later!

The conversation began when Banks admitted she snacks in her bedroom when hanging out with her mother, Carolyn London. As Bush Hager, 43, cut in to protest at the idea of getting bits of food in bed, Banks quipped, “Yes, but the great thing is then a couple days later…”

“No, you do not!” Bush Hager exclaimed.

“I do! And you know, Jenna, I clean crumbs by eating them, because if you put it in the trash, it’s gonna get roaches or something,” the model doubled down. “So, you just clean it up with your finger. Or you just eat it.”

Banks clarified that she doesn’t mind snacking on crumbs from the floor in her own home because she has a strict “no shoe rule” in the house.

“If it’s on your ground! That’s your feet,” she explained. “So I can eat off my floor. No, but I’m serious, I do that.”

When pressed on how long the crumbs could be there before Banks would hesitate to eat them, she said she had a “couple days rule.”

“A few days if it’s not super perishable. Like a popcorn? I mean, come on,” she continued. “That’s like astronaut food. It just lasts forever. You just pick it up. I’m not joking.”

Still surprised, Bush Hager asked her if she would eat food that she found in her bed a week after she’d dropped it.

The television personality replied, “Yeah, if I knew it was mine in my bed, yeah.”

However, the 51-year-old said that when her son, York Banks Asla, 9 – who she shares with photographer Erik Asla – does the same thing, she quickly tells him, “Don’t do that!”

“And he’s like, ‘But you do it,’” she added.

Following the wild confession, fans took to social media to share their opinions on her unexpected habit.
