Hoda Kotb Surprises Jenna Bush Hager on Today Set, But Colleagues Feel It’s Time for Her to Move On
Hard to say goodbye! Just two months after leaving Today, Hoda Kotb was back, stopping by the NYC studio to surprise former cohost Jenna Bush Hager during a meeting. “What is happening?!” Jenna, 43, yelled as the 60-year-old gave her a big hug. Hoda went on to praise recent guest cohost Dwyane Wade.
While sources tell Star the two remain close, an insider reveals that former colleagues at Today wish Hoda would move on. “They love her and think of her as family, but find the clinginess too much,” explains the source, adding that things could get awkward now that Craig Melvin has taken a bigger role.
The problem is that life after Today has been a major adjustment for the single mom of two. “In many ways, it’s been fantastic to enjoy downtime and take the girls to school,” says the insider. “But she misses the buzz and camaraderie.” No wonder her new book, Jump and Find Joy, out soon, is about navigating change!
