Toy Story 5’ Gets a Luxury Ride as Porsche Debuts Character-Inspired 911s

Disney, Pixar and Porsche gave Toy Story 5 a red-carpet entrance built for both film fans and car collectors.

At the movie’s world premiere in Los Angeles on June 9, Porsche unveiled three one-of-one 911 models inspired by Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, turning the familiar colors and personality traits of Pixar’s beloved toys into bespoke sports cars. The vehicles were customized by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department, which translates to “special wishes,” and will be sold through a charitable initiative supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The reveal arrives ahead of Toy Story 5, opening only in theaters June 19. The new film brings Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks; Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen; Jessie, voiced by Joan Cusack; and the rest of the gang into a new story where “Toy meets Tech.” Their world is disrupted by Lilypad, a tablet device voiced by Greta Lee, whose arrival challenges the toys’ role in Bonnie’s life.

For Porsche, the collaboration is another chance to blend automotive craftsmanship with screen nostalgia, following its earlier Sally Special project inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Cars. This time, the design team reached beyond the world of racing and into one of animation’s most enduring franchises.

“Watching the characters of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie come to life on the road with the help of the creative minds of Disney and Pixar, Style Porsche, and the Sonderwunsch department is very exciting,” said Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. “Many of us — and our children — grew up watching the Toy Story films on the big screen. Celebrating this milestone is particularly rewarding — especially knowing that this initiative will ultimately support children and families in need.”

The Buzz Lightyear model is a 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package, a prominent rear wing inspired by Buzz’s suit and wings, white wheels, green and purple accents, Space Ranger center caps and custom Goodyear “Lightyear” tires. Inside, the car includes green details, Pebble Grey leather, Arctic Grey Race-Tex, Violeta leather and illuminated door sill guards reading “To Infinity and Beyond.”

Jessie’s 2026 911 Targa 4 GTS leans into cowgirl glamour. Its newly developed Jessie White Metallic paint nods to the pearl buttons on her western shirt, while Cobalt Blue Metallic, Atacama Yellow, GTS Red accents and a red Targa top evoke her costume. The interior features denim-look fabric, cowhide-pattern floor mats and illuminated “YEE HAW!” door sill guards.

Woody’s 2026 911 Carrera T takes a more weathered approach, with custom paint designed to look like worn blue jeans. The car also features Coffee Black, Aurum and Fire Red details, brown vintage leather, red checkered accents, denim-look seat centers and illuminated “Ride Like the Wind!” door sill guards.

“For over 30 years, Toy Story has made people of all ages smile,” said Bob Pauley, Production Designer at Pixar Animation Studios and original designer of Buzz Lightyear. “Reuniting with the team at Porsche that created the Sally Special from Disney and Pixar’s Cars, and working to create these three all-new Toy Story 5 cars which will hopefully bring joy everywhere they go, is very meaningful and a great way to raise money for a good cause.”

The fun of the cars is in the details: Buzz’s Space Ranger wheels, Jessie’s “YEE HAW!” door sills, Woody’s denim paint and “Ride Like the Wind!” greeting feel like inside jokes for anyone who grew up rewinding a Toy Story VHS.

For a franchise built on the idea that toys have lives when no one is looking, the Porsche project gives that fantasy a glossy new twist: this time, the toys left the playroom and pulled up to the premiere.
