Remember when Khloe Kardashianleft a flirty comment on a teacher’s Instagram post and sent the internet into a frenzy? Well, it seems like their love story just wasn’t meant to be.
During the season 8 premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu on October 8, Kardashian, 42, addressed the viral moment in a confessional interview, and fans all over social media are now expressing their disapproval of her comments. After recapping the story of how she commented on an Instagram video posted by high school teacher Jacob Myers-Norys in December, the reality star continued, “Do I think I’m gonna go and marry this young man? Absolutely not. I just wrote, ‘How was your day?’ This thing took off like wildfire.”

She then revealed that she had received “like 15” direct messages from Myers-Norys, who lives in Santa Cruz, California and teaches biology and math. Kardashian proceeded to show the DMs—to which she did not respond—to the camera and read them out loud.
“Calm down, Yacob,” Kardashian concluded, referencing the teacher’s Instagram handle, where his name is spelled with a Y instead of a J. “Just be cool. And his name is Yacob? Yacob. Please. Get a J.”
Many fans who commented on the clip on Instagram were not happy with the Good American founder. “I’m sure that Yacob would’ve been a better choice than Tristan or Lamar,” said one user, referencing Kardashian’s exes Tristan Thompson and Lamar Odom.

“Nah, I don’t like her reaction to this. Could have left it as an innocent comment. No need to roast the man,” said another.
Myers-Norys issued his own response by posting a video showing him sitting at a desk in a classroom with the words, “When they try to roast and embarrass me on The Kardashians but I get roasted by high schoolers every single day.”
